Skate Park


Located in the Northeast Corner of Rothwell Park, the Holman Skate Park is an area for skateboarders and roller-bladers alike to hang out and hone their skills. Originally three tennis courts, it provides a nice open area for users to skate in a safe, fenced-in environment.

The Moberly Parks and Recreation Department is interested in possible future renovations to the Skate Park. Hours

Hours of permitted use are from 7:00 am to 8:30 pm. It is unlawful for any person to enter or remain on the premises outside these hours. Violators may be charged with trespassing.

 

Skate Park Rules & Regulations

Moberly's Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to close the facility for any circumstances deemed necessary, restrict entry to the facility and to ask persons to leave the facility if any of the rules are not followed or if unsafe behavior is observed.

Warning!
Skateboarding or rollerblading activities are inherently dangerous. Users are using this facility at their own risk. This facility is unsupervised and uninsured. Improper use can and will result in serious injury.

Safety Equipment

It is strongly recommended that helmet, knee pads and elbow pads be worn at all times to help provide suitable protection in the event of falls or collisions. .

Please Remember:

•   No glass containers, food or beverages allowed on the skating surface.
•   Spills jeopardize the skaters.
•   No other items such as benches, tables, wood materials, or other objects used as ramps or jumps are allowed in the skate park facility
•   No pets are allowed in the skate park area.
•   No bikes are allowed to use the skate park area.
•   Alcohol, tobacco, and/or drugs are prohibited.
•   Children should have parental supervision.
•   Skate with safety in mind and remember weather conditions may
create unsafe surfaces for skating.

Maintaining The Facility

Remember that the Skate Park is for all users to enjoy. Please make sure you pick up any garbage you see, as it can cause a hazard to other users. If something is broken or otherwise needs our attention, please report it to the Parks Maintenance office at (660) 263-3815.
