Omar N. Bradley Airport
The airport is working on wrapping up project paperwork and funding and initiating the design of upcoming planned work and arranging the funding.
We are currently approving the final funding for the work that was completed at the airport last summer (Amendment 2). We are using our remaining 08' entitlement funds and all of our 09' entitlement funds, plus some remaining entitlement funds from other area airports that went unspent. These funds do not have to be repaid by us.
BWR has submitted proposed costs for engineering for the pad site replacement. As federally funded projects require, we had to do a review of the proposed costs. CEPCO, who has completed these reviews for us in the past, recently prepared a comparison study, and I will be comparing these to the BWR numbers soon to begin negotiations on cost. The study by CEPCO cost $1,350, but is eligible for a 90/10 reimbursement.
